Introduced circa 1990 was this three-color desert pattern, nicknamed Daguet
(Operation Daguet being the French name for the First Gulf War/Desert Storm). It consists of sparse horizontal stripes of brown and tan on a sandy background and continues to be the primary desert uniform of French military forces.
Although it was introduced in 1989, this French desert camouflage pattern is commonly known as 'Daguet
' because it is so closely associated with Operation 'Daguet
'. It is a three-colour camouflage pattern, comprising large, horizontally-aligned earth brown and light sage green bands on a neutralised desert pink background.
