Individual criteria:
1. Acts of bravery and heroism while conducting boarding actions against an enemy vessel or installation.
2. Acts of bravery and heroism while defending against hostile boarding action.
3. Acts of bravery and heroism against an enemy force during an orbital/amphibious landing on hostile territory.
Ship/installation criteria:
1. Acts of bravery and heroism by the crew as a whole during combat against an enemy force
2. Acts of bravery and heroism by the vessel during fleet action against an enemy force
