Description
The Republic uses Standard as it's common language. This language is required for all Republic federal citizens (people who have citizenship of not only a Republic member state, but of the Republic itself, as well). The spoken language is an evolved version of esperanto.
This is the typographic writing system for Standard. While the earlier system worked well for printing blocks and computer displays, it was dismally difficult to write by hand. This alphabetic is used for quick writing by computer, typing, and writing by hand.
Most books and magazines offer this alphabetic as their primary use of written language.
When the Republic agreed on a common trade language, it was decided through lengthy negotiations that a base-8 system would be used with unique numerals (so as to differentiate the human arabic numbers still in use).

This started as a minor project to make original letters for Esperanto, but it developed into a task of replacing my older Standard with something a little more natural. This is what the writing system would look like in Times New Roman.
