Swedish M90 Splinter

Description

There are apparently two patterns under the name of "Swedish splinter," the other most likely being a commercial copy.

Got what I think is the real pattern (the tile is wider than the previous, and finally horizontally repeating) in three color schemes: M90 woodland, M90K desert, M90L tropical

====camopedia====
Introduced in 1989, the M90 "splinter" pattern seems to have been influenced by German WW2 designs such as Splittermuster (splinter pattern). The Swedish pattern incorporates dark green, dark olive green & moss green splinter shapes on a khaki background, and is the standard combat uniform of all Swedish ground combat personnel.

Introduced in 2004, the M90K pattern is a variation of the standard M90 splinter pattern and the standard pattern worn by Swedish military contingents serving in desert regions. The Swedes have nicknamed it Ökenkammo.

====kamouflage.net====
The Swedish M/90 camouflage is a splinter pattern that comprises four colours: dark green, dark navy blue and medium green on a very light beige background. Although blue might seem to be an unusual choice of colour, for a tactical camouflage pattern, it was chosen specifically because it simulates shadows.

Camouflage uniforms in this pattern are currently issued to personnel serving in the Swedish Army (Armén) and Swedish Air Force (Flygvapnet).

This M/90 Ökenkammo (öken = 'desert'), which is worn by members of the Swedish ISAF contingent, is based upon the Swedish M/90 camouflage. It is likewise a four-colour splinter camouflage pattern, comprising earth brown, light green and medium grey elements on a sand-coloured background.

I find the Swedish splinter pattern very fascinating and unique. It is the only splinter pattern I know of that is not a direct derivate from the German splinter pattern design.
