m09 Belt Buckle, Dress

This is the regulation belt buckle for all dress uniforms (m/08 Parade Dress, m/08 Full Dress, m/08 Dress Greatcoat, and the m/08 Special Full Dress), except the m/08 Dinner Dress, m/08 Mess Dress and the m/08 Evening Dress.

The motif on the buckle medallion shows a wreathed phoenix-upon-star, surmounted by the military lozenge star. The buckle is worn upon a black leather belt with prussian blue striations at the edges. the entire buckle is made from heavy-gilt bronze with an enamel phoenix and silver stars. Conscripts and mercenaries wear a simpler-constructed stamped silvered bronze.
Unbuckling is with a loop-and-tab.
